Summer Fun!

Armed with a brand new library card and some free time I am currently compiling my summer reading list. I am calling upon you, my friends, for suggestions.

I just finished "Me Talk Pretty One Day." Not a title I'd normally read, but Amanda S highly recommended it, and I really enjoyed it!

Two books I recommend: The History of Love (sounds really cheesy...but it isn't, promise) and The Life of Pi (maybe you already read it, but I loved it!)

McTeague by Frank Norris. It is one of the most important books on 19th century California and based on your love of Steinbeck, I think you might really enjoy this book. I read it in AP English and actually quite enjoyed. Also, TBL has a Frank Norris collection and I just worked on an order for some of his manuscripts so it is fresh on my mind.
